David and Julia Marks are a husband and wife team, trying to make a dream a reality. It’s been a long road from conception to this stage in the Cultisifter lifespan, and they are excited to say they are almost there.
David K Marks – Spent his youth traveling across the globe with his military family, living in Germany, Iran and Okinawa, not to mention pretty much everywhere in the continental US (Texas, California, Arizona, Georgia, Illinois…). A resident of Seattle since 1981, David has spent the majority of his life in the Pacific Northwest. A University of Washington graduate, entrepreneur and “wine guy”, David has pretty much done it all.
David has always had ideas, and lots of them. But this is the first invention he has truly spent the time to develop. Long term goal – “Inventor Extraordinaire” – he’s got at least five inventions ready to go once this one is up and running!
Julia Marks – Grew up in a small town in California and moved north to Bellingham, Washington where she graduated with a degree in Art History from Western Washington University. Settling in Seattle, Julia is now a Pacific Northwesterner, missing the sunshine on these dreary winter days but never tiring of this amazing city.
With an eye for design, Julia spent many years as an Art Consultant to the Hospitality Interior Design Industry before getting into website and graphic design. Julia has an e-commerce business and consulting gig for her day job but spends much of her time trying to get her five month old baby girl to take a nap.
Julia’s calm demeanor tempers David’s exuberance, together they make a great team.
